The St. Patrick Home and School Committee exists as an important support organization to St. Patrick School. This Committee is a group of parents/guardians, teachers and administrators dedicated to providing quality programs addressing social and educational needs of students and parents/guardians of St. Patrick School; and providing interaction between home and school. |
|
In providing a cooperative support system, this body will encourage and coordinate the developmental formation of a wholesome Catholic Community. Our school is grateful for the parent leadership and volunteers' commitment to enhance the education of our children.
The Purpose:
The purpose of the Home and School Committee is to provide funds for the educational and recreational needs of the children of St. Patrick School, and helping to defray the cost of our children's education. We strive to increase the parents understanding of their role in educating the child and to promote a greater rapport between the members of the faculty and parents of the school children. Some of the activities of Home and School are to involve coordinating volunteers, hosting, organizing and promoting fundraising events for the betterment of our school. Through a variety of fundraisers, this Committee provides the backbone for the social life for the parents and the students.
Our volunteers compliment and support the students and staff of St. Patrick School in fulfilling the goals of Catholic education. While being a school volunteer is a reward in itself, it also demonstrates to our children the value and importance we place on their education and spiritual growth.
Membership of St. Patrick School parents/guardians and family members is strongly encouraged. Home and School meetings are held every month, with no meeting in December or March, and the first meeting of the year to be held in September in the Church Hall. The Home and School meeting schedule is below.
