LAURA VOLENIK

      Laura Volenik is St. Patrick School's band instructor.  She has her Bachelor of Music Performance and Master of Music Education from The University of Akron.  She is certified to teach music in grades K-12.  She is a member of the Music Educators National Conference, the Ohio Music Education Association, the Phi Kappa Lambda Honorary Music Fraternity and district treasurer of OMEA.  She has taught in the Liberty school district as well as six years in the parochial school systems with the last three at St. Patrick School.

      She plays professionally as a freelance musician throughout the Akron and Youngstown areas.  She says she enjoys teaching at St. Patrick School because the students and the staff are wonderful.  She hopes to develop a lifelong appreciation and enjoyment of music in each of her young musicians.
