MELLONY LEONARD

      Mrs. Leonard earned her undergraduate degree from Clarion University and attended Slippery Rock College and YSU for Master's classes.  She is currently enrolled at Walsh University working on her Master's degree.  She spent six years as a substitute for grades K-12, and taught preschool before coming to St. Patrick School.  This is her fourth year as the school's second grade teacher.

      She is a track coach for the 7th and 8th grade team and has done lifeguarding and coached swimming.  Some of the programs implemented by Mrs. Leonard include PALS - Peers Assistant Learning Strategies for the kindergarten class as well as a Phonics Program, Sound Recognition and Building Words.  In addition, Centers is a twice a month program that involves parent teaching and learning centers.  Her hobbies include playing softball and golf.  She is married with two daughters and tutors St. Patrick students during the summer.
