JOAN HUMPHREY, MPH, RN

      Mrs. Humphrey is the school's registered nurse.  She is a graduate of YSU with a BSAS in Health Education and obtained her Master's degree in Public Health from Northeast Ohio University.  She serves as an advisor for Eta Sigma Gamma at YSU - National Health Educator's Honorary.  She works as an instructor at YSU and Penn State Shenango.  She also continues clinical nursing per diem in the ER at UPMC Horizon Health System.  She has been at St. Patrick School for two years.

      She is married and has two children, one of whom is in the sixth grade at St. Patrick.  She also has two grandchildren living with her family.  She chose to work here because she is treated like family.  She says, "I am allowed to nurture the students and provide respite for them from the stresses they encounter in their lives."  She also continues, "I would like each of them to realize they have choices to make every day, choices that include how to take care of themselves."  She wishes that they look back upon their grade school years of the best of their lives.
