JOAN DERAMO

      Joan Deramo is the school's music teacher.  She has a BS in Music Therapy with an Education Certification from Duquesne University in Pittsburgh and continuing education credits from Kent State, Walsh College, and YSU.   This is her third year teaching a St. Patrick School.  She has also taught in the Brookfield Schools, Villa Maria Preschool, Notre Dame of Warren and St. Rose in Girard.

      She is married and her husband teaches math at Kennedy Catholic High School.  She has three children, Elise, Regina and Mark.  Her hobbies include listening and studying classical music, going to concerts, studying music history, gardening, and canning.

      She chose to teach at St. Patrick School because of a loving and supportive principal.  She wants her students to cherish music and the Arts in their lives.  She encourages them to see how the Arts make them whole and more human as they have fun and learn simultaneously.
